Sonata for flute, violin, cello & harp

Sonata for flute, violin, cello, and harp unfolds in three movements and runs ca. 12:00. It begins with a lively and sparkling Poco allegro. The second movement, a Nocturne, provides a more contemplative and somber contrast. The piece then ends with an Allegro that is both mysterious and majestic.

This composition was premiered 29 April 1986 by the Pinehurst Chamber Ensemble (Alexa Still, flute; Moirsheen Kelly, violin; Tomas Ulrich, cello) and Christine Vivona, harp, in a concert of my music I produced at Christ & St. Stephen’s Church on West 69th Street in New York City.
