Requiem

In 1989, as a part of a final project at Duke, I started a Requiem for chorus and orchestra. That work, in that approach, remains (and will remain) unfinished.

In 2015, I recast and recomposed the first movement for chorus and string orchestra. Entitled Requiem and Kyrie (for the fallen), this work received its world premiere on 10 May at SACRARIUM 2015 in Lviv, Ukraine, with the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra and Galician Academic Chamber Choir, Ferdinando Nazzaro, conductor.

Inspired by that performance and later current events, I have been moving forward with composing a complete Requiem Mass.

Instrumentation:
SATB chorus, string orchestra
